TeamAWOL Commerical? Lolz

I'm currently in the process of making a commercial for Team AWOL. If the video is half decent, I'm hoping to have it located on our home page.
It'll go for approx 60secs and consist of random videos of the games we play.

More news on this as it develops.

Obviously the latter tutorial probably won't work on anything but CSS.

As .dem files are quite large, it would be better for both you and me and you FRAPS (or what ever) the final product. It's preferred if you did this video without including any players in it.

you do realize that a 30 second vid done in fraps is much larger than a half hour demo done in CSS...

I don't want you to send me 30secs of videos.... All I need is short clips like 5sec - 10sec long.

.dem would still be ALOT smaller then whatever fraps records to (think its avi or some shit) reason being that demos just tell your engine what to do in order to display what you saw at that time. Its not actually reorded video...

So Sir Cube, to you i say OWNED. =);)

But as for convenience i guess avi would be better because you don't have to convert the video yourself.

Well, if it's a .dem file I would need to reintalled TF2.
So I guess send me that and I'll install TF2 sometime soon.

Plus, I don't think Adobe Premiere Pro accepted .avi files to edit. Unless I just need to download something for it.

Never, EVER use clips from game intros or trailers.
It looks like it's the best you could find (which I know it is) which is shit.

Flashing the tiny clips is fine, but don't make them stillpics, get some short of movement in there (it looks better).

Also, get the Team AWOL banner thing to lose the dodgy white border at the end of the film. Looks like something you whipped together in MS paint.


I'll get you some Gmod clips today (atleast in demo files).

I'm unsure as to why it looks shit, the Team AWOL logo that is, but without some sort of border it looks even worse.

And yes you are right, I don't have any other videos to work with.
It's a draft and it shows you how many clips are needed.

I've have a 1280x720 version. However when I export it on Adobe Premiere Pro it chucks it back to 4:3 ratio when it should be 16:9.

Just got you about 10 minutes of .demo from parkour, should be something you can use (i've got them all to keep jumping off the WTC, then I got them all to just do their thing (mainly chasing teh hunted)).

I'll upload once I stop playing Gmod, expect not much longer than an hour.

The first one shows how to get source to convert your video to .avi, the second shows how to move the camera about and tell the camera how to move.

Well, you coukld use still pics if you flashed a heap of them really fast. Also, try to get a video from rp somehow, dunno what it would have, but it would be cool. But, really nice music, good choice.
