nibbles

Ok, so following the implementation of some new trophies (good job bith and mech and anyone else who helped), I've been making certain comparisons on other ideas I've had as well as server comparisons (AWOL[Hurray] vs GAU[Yawn])
These issues primarily address my Stone/Copper/Iron Age trophies.
When you get them, they're permanent and they allow you to spawn with the appropriate hatchet/pick combination.
Essentially, this is very similar to GAU's tool system, that once you get the tools, you only lose them on map change. Servers seem to be merging bit by bit with each suggestion (albeit these were my suggestions and my bad).
Another issue with this, is the fact that it takes far too much effort and challenge out of the stranded mod (when a player achieves the trophy).
My suggestion on what we do with this is to replace them while they're still new and not many people have gotten them.
What we would replace the trophies with is another seperate single trophy.
Agriculturist Trophy - Ability to construct a Tool Shed/Cabinet which can store all tools and weapons you have created.
Requirements for Trophy:
Survival Level 100
30 Weapon Crafting
2,500 Wood
2,500 Iron
2,500 Copper
2,500 Steel
20 Refined Diamonds
This works exactly the same way as the Resource Cache structure, only instead of materials, it can store tools and weapons which you craft. This trophy keeps the challenge and requirement of having to create tools, hence keeping the need for making tools, but its also an incentive for players to level up their weapon crafting.
I reckon that weapon crafting at the moment is underrated once you're high enough to make a tool gun or an SMG.
The construction of the Tool Shed/Cabinet itself will work the exact same way as the Christmas Tree and New Years Disco Ball trophies work. Once you obtain the trophy, the option to create the structure will appear "blue'd" up in your Special Structures menu.
The reason I'm jumping between Shed and Cabinet is just so that it gives some flexibility in picking models and deciding on appropriate/logical material requirements for construction. So my say on requirements is as follows:
Building a Tool Shed/Cabinet
500 Wood
500 Iron
100 Steel
---------------------------------------------------------
Second idea also happens to be the wife of the Resource Cache.
The Kitchen Fridge.
Master Chef Trophy - Abiity to construct a Kitchen Fridge which can store all food you have cooked through the use of the Stove.
Requirements for Trophy:
Survival Level 100
30 Cooking
1,000 Iron
1,000 Copper
1,000 Bottles of Water
1,000 Steel
20 Refined Diamonds
Same idea as the Storage Cache and the Tool Shed/Cabinet, only this stores food which you cook. Essentially it's like a vending machine.
When using the Kitchen Fridge, a window similar to the one which opens on using the Storage Cache appears. This window shows all food which you've placed into it. If you want to eat something inside the Kitchen Fridge, you push an "Eat" button while the food is selected, thus replenishing the appropriate amount of hunger and HP.
Building a Kitchen Fridge
500 Iron
500 Bottles o Water
100 Steel
--------------------------------------------------------------
********Closing Note********
Since I'm rather unfamiliar with coding these things, I'm going to just put a list of additional work which may be required:
- Cooked food may be required to be changed into a depositable item which you can store in your inventory. A command to pick up food may be necessary, as the only current way to interact with food is to eat it with USE.
i.e - when looking at some Sushi .. gms_takefood
- When using the Tool Shed/Cabinet, it should work in a similar manner to the resource cache, as in it lists all items which you have in your inventory as well as inside the cache. For the Tool Shed/Cabinet, this should show tools you've placed into the shed as well as tools you're holding on your person.
- The Tool Shed/Cabinet should store all tools, aside from standard ones (Hands, Phys Gun, Grav Gun).
- I've noticed that when trying to create the Christmas Tree (and possibly the NYDiscoBall) you are required to have the materials being held in order to create he construction site of it. If you intend on basing any of the code for these new trophies, I would recommend fixing this. Not all players can hold all the necessary materials required for the Tool Shed/Cabinet and Kitchen Fridge.
Also, if you do decide to make these, can I ask for a "Suggested by Nibbles" in the description? :)
